Fantastic to hear!  I was in a purely black and foul humor today - this was just the thing to snap me out of it!

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback and well wishes!  Glad I could make someone else's day brighter, too!  God is great and faith and great docs make all the difference!

Well, I've run the gauntlet and survived.  I finished my 6 week radiation/chemo regimen yesterday, exactly 6 months to the day after my surgery. I managed to avoid side effects until the last 10 days or so.  Now, I just have to get my appetite back, get my GI tract settled down (have some acid reflux caused by the treatments) and rest up.  They tell me it will take at least a month to do that.  But hey, what's the downside to 2 naps a day???

Anyway, my cancer is gone and I have another check up in 2 months.   ;D  It could come back, but the treatments I had are pretty effective in knocking it out.  The plan was actually developed by Johns Hopkins researchers and my docs here followed it.  So, as long as I stay healthy, no more treatments!  Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers and keeping me in mind over the last 6 months.  Gonna spend some time in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island to boost my recuperation!  I hope to slowly get back into the shop and get some things done.  Been too tired up till now!

Blessings to you all!
Bill

That is great news Bill! I have been thinking about you and we certainly have missed your presence here at LBO. When you are up to it let me know and we can get together and talk basses 'birds and such.

Bill, I'm absolutely delighted.  Pancreatic cancer got my dad, and to know that you've come through it is wonderful to me.  Stay well and get back in the shop when your energy level permits it!
