Thank you Tom.
The EP/CD where this and three other songs were on, got some modest airplay in The Netherlands.
Which in hindsight is pretty awesome since it was released without a record company.
It was all done on a shoestring budget.

I played bass in the band Stonefly between 2008 and 2010.
We used to rehearse in the attic of a big barn in Zeewolde.
This barn - from singer/farmer Jan Hoving- was often filled with sugar beets. So it must have been beet music... 😉

Somewhere in 2009 we recorded our repertoire in that rehearsal room. But as it often goes with bands, nothing ever happened with those recordings. No mix, nothing.
But, when I was digging through old photographs on an old hard drive last week, I stumbled upon the multi-tracks of the recording session. What a shame to let them rust away I thought. So I made a mix and put some photographs under the music.

Stonefly - Ain't gonna let you down.

Keyboards - Willem Hoving.
Drums - Thomas Vermeulen

Backing vocals  - Rob van den Broek.

And because I enjoy doing it so much, I mixed another song for the same recording session. And made another video with some old band pics.

#573
Three weeks ago I did a reunion gig with my old band Superfloor.
The band had faded like a night candle some 12 years ago.
But three weeks ago we were on fire like never before ;-)

I rare play bass in a band anymore, so I really had to get back in shape and get those fingers moving again.

But it was really nice to play all those songs (all originals except for the encore) again for a sold-out venue.

Superfloor always was a band with just one guitarist. But for the reunion we had both our original guitarist Frank as well as his successor Jeff together on stage!
No, we didn't turn every song into a Thin Lizzy pastiche. Except maybe for this song:

Excellent! Looks like a good crowd too.

Basvarken

Yeah, we chose to do it in the small hall of the venue (they have two halls in the same building). Because we had or doubts if we could fill the big hall.
It turned out to be a good decision. We got sold out two weeks prior. And the place was filled with lots of familiar faces. So it was not only a reunion for us, but also for the audience ;-)

Good to see you and the band enjoying some live performing. Hope I too can shake off the rust and get back out there some day again soon. Cheers.
Contrary to what James Bond says, a good Gibson should be stirred, not shaken.

C'est moi!

If you like it punky/alternative, enjoy.

Who Killed Nancy Johnson? - Human Resources

On the Human Resources track, I was literally three days out of hand surgery for a trigger finger issue...my hand had been wrapped and in a support until about half hour before we did this.  There was some blood.  :(

The future I come from no longer exists.

Basvarken

That's impressive to play like that under those circumstances; chapeau! :toast:
Sounds great (all 3)
