Ok, I said hello over at the cafe,
now it's time to present a couple of basses that I own:

1980 Mustang Bass

Framus SG style bass

the newest addition to my bass family - an extremely cool Mosrite Combo Bass 1968

And talking about Czech made basses ;D - my Jolana D-BASS. Rickenbacker must have stolen their design! >:(

Another Jolana - the "Kolorbas", this one has definitely seen better days. It looks "Mike Watt-onized".

I also have a couple of projects lying around waiting for the Doc to come including a Gibson EB-3 with slotted (but badly badly broken) headstock.

Hope this suits your taste.

What I'm really GASing for except for the T-bird NR is a BASS VI. Normally, I can't stand more than 4 strings on a bass but that BASS VI is a whole different thing...

Thank's again all.

Nice collection! I have to admit I'm partial to the Mustang too.

And if Bass VI is what you're interested in, here's something to pique your interest: click & scroll down - looks like Fender Japan might have some reissues in the pipeline, though whether or not they'll become available here is another thing entirely. (They aren't available yet, this is just a blog post about a recent trade show in Japan.) I have one of the Japanese '90s reissues and like it.

Wow. I know that Fender sells the extremely expensive custom shop models but the ones in the link above look different. The custom shop models are equipped with "normal" Jaguar/Jazzy bridges but these seem to have the wider bridge as used on the originals. Am I wrong?

Thanks for the link!

Ha I didn't pay that much for her. I don't know anything about the collectors value, all I know is I wanted to get my hands on a Mosrite bass. She was for sale for 1500 USD. I'm pretty sure I could sell her (at least here in Euroland) for more than I've paid for... I don't think I ever will though.

But Lee Dorman's playing a solid body Mosrite. He bought from Jerry Penrod, his predesessor with Butterfly, because he though it represented the real Iron Butterfly sound ...... ;D

I really like that Framus. Not a fan of Mosrite though.

Chris P.

Those Framuses can be found quite cheap on German eBay. I believe these have bolt on necks.

I do love the Mosrite and Berth has the same blue hollowbody.
