And to think that about a year ago I thought that the kolleckshün would die the death of becoming obsolete for lack of new models. Obviously not. There hasn't been a year in history where Gibson brought out as many new models, not even in the 2007 GoW phase.

Got that too, sounds and plays very nicely, thank you, and the translucent cherry with the nine-ply-construction shimmering through is a sight to behold. Whether is sounds different to other modern TBirds I have, remains to be seen. Playing it yesterday night a home and not very loud I detected some Jazz Bass-on-front-pup-only-character, but maybe the fact that I had my candy-cola JB in view while playing the TB twisted my mind a little!!!
