My old drummer got to see them, too.  He said the same thing.  He also said that the road crew probably knew which mic was Wendy's automatically when setting up for a gig.

Saw them back in the 80s at a Long Island club, back when there was a killer live music scene and lots of great bands.

I never found the fish comparison especially accurate. Must be the company I keep!
