Why did Salvador Dali cross the road?
Clocks.

Good luck Denis, definitely a Gibby IMO by the backplate.  Looks like a Reverse bridge, judging by ohms and nickel cover.  Cover has been messed with, probably to use countersunk screws.

I am already the high bidder on it on it  ;D

Say, don't you have a nice '76 T-bird because of me?  ;)

I bet it would be cheaper to buy a pair of Thunderbuckers than to try to get this....

godofthunder

I tossed  x amount on it if I get it fine. If not Dennis can have it. Joe your right I should just buy another Thunderbucker ! I was making the rounds on ebay tossing bids on this and that, I bid without really thinking.

I know what you mean. I do that ALL the time. I just can't wait to try the Thunderbucker 666 in my 8 string. Hopefully...It will KILL. Then I will be a Happy Man!!!

Denis

Yeah, I'm not going to go for that pickup after all. Scott, you may end up with it!

That's about what I paid for one about a year ago, a '66 spec.  I traded it to Baz for a '63 with ring that Steve used to proto the '63 TBer.

I jumped in at the last 30 seconds. Figured you guys were out so I jumped in. Could always use a spare nickel pickup. I think this pickup was in the bridge position of a Hofner Beatle bass that was owned by G.E. Smith from Saturday Night Live. Saw it on Gbase a few months back. But....I can't wait to try Steve Soar's Thunderbucker 66 Plus in my 8 string T bird hopefully next week. Will report with test results ASAP!!!! Still...I am seeking an original blue epoxied bottom chrome Orville t bird pickup to send to Steve. Still lookin'......

Geeze I'm nutter than the rest of ya I once paid $500 bucks for a 60's  Tbird pup ! Glad I did :) Though I would not have gone that high on this unit. Joe I hope it sounds great !

You're not alone, Scott. I've done the same thing. Glad this was reasonable.
