What Ric? That's Rob playing the spalted Tele. But no more of the spalted tops are available. Maybe the Czechs ran out of diseased wood.

They do them Dave. The ones I have tested were fine bass guitars. Soundwise they reminded me (very much) of an Epi Tbird. But with a set neck.

And yes they have run out of fungus wood.
In december they will re-introduce the spalted maple topped instruments.

I was asking b/c there was no mention of a Rick in this thread, didn't look at their website.

If I were in the market, I'd prefer the solid alder to the spalted top, though I can imagine the latter will sell better.
