That's too bad Barkless. I was thinking my B-301 had a great sound with just the single pickup in the sweet spot and didn't think an additional neck pickup could bring much to the party. Maybe they get better with age. I made a special trip to the store that had it for sale to make sure I liked what I heard. Even with old strings it still sounded like juicy tonal goodness to me. Looking forward to hearing her purr after bringing it in for a setup and new strings. I guess Molly Shannon best describes my feelings about my new Guild B-301...

Four grand for a set-neck Precision with a Dimarzio neck 'bucker is absurd.

Don't forget the <$10 bridge.  Pick guard probably cost 5 times that though.

I like the part where they talk about how they started building the guitar first, then decided to do the bass. The bass is finished and the guitar is still being built.

Carlo are you ever going to tackle a set-neck or neck-through? Your stuff blows the doors off just about everybody's everything bass currently.
