I happened to visit Epinions last night and found that they had no reviews on Labella Deep Talkin' flats, my favorite string.

I hurled myself into the breach and wrote a review.  Then I had a beer.

BTW - the avatar on that page is a doodle that my dad did for many years.  I found one on the back of an envelope after he passed away in 1997 and scanned it.  Thought it might make a nice avatar and a little homage to a good guy.

Excellent! I have those on my BaCH TH-1, the G&L and the '75 P-bass. I love those strings!

You'ld be drummed out of the "Salesman of the Year" awards show for that one... ;D

Nice doodle, btw, and a great reason for using it...

Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

I just  calls 'em the way I sees 'em.  ;D

Great article.   well done.   :toast:

my favorite flats also.   have them on about 15 basses...  actually waiting for some custom size sets they are making for me for some danos,  dearmond guild,   and Chromium's ampeg/japanese  scroll bass.  they are very slow but worth the wait.  Prices on that website are nuts.  Imperial guitar Newburgh NY same place as labella)  almost half off....

I actually also really like the deep talking RW med.,   my fav RW.  starting using them when they came on my first fodera in 83 and haven't used roto's  since except for certain basses/situations

For short scale Danos? If so, I please tell me about them as I'd like to get a set for my Jerry Jones Longhorn.
Thanks!
