That's a shot from the Thunderbird club over on TB, it belongs to and was made by a member from Norway.

Yeah, those Warmoth neck pockets/heels really need to be tweaked.

I met one of the guys from Warmoth at a Seattle Talkbass GTG last year, of course I had several 'Birds with me and the subject of their body came up - This guy admitted that it wasn't good and that they really needed to completely rework it, obviously they haven't yet.

Its one reason you see them come up often, someone wants to do a custom Tbird, gets a Warmoth kit & discovers its only for Alfa Romeo drivers.

Not for this Alfisti.  Warmoth has been making that stupid body for years, I gave a salesman grief about it in '07 when I was ordering a P body, which was also not exactly right.  I guess they expect you to use their extremely heavy necks with them.

The T bird is such an assymetrical design that putting a headstock on it like that ruins the beauty of the thing. I. Am. Not. A. Fan.

It needs a painted headstock to blend with the body, then it might be not as offensive! :P
OTOH there's no hope for those pups look, even if you painted the polepieces black...

;D  And not only that, the headstock looks like a giant insect sitting on the edge of a twig. How's that?
