Anybody play any recent Carvin stuff?  Their take on the micro amp looks interesting.

Yesterday I tried out an all original S.D. Curlee bass through a Genz-Benz 9.0 shuttle and a cabinet I didn't recognize and all I can say is that combination was amazing. the GB costs a lot though, maybe a grand?

I really like my Genz Shuttle 6.0...the 9.0 is even stronger. It would be a superb choice!  Look around and they're not nearly a grand...here's one I found on TB at $625.

One of the few SS amps I could make sound good. You can drive it.

I picked this one up off the local Craigslist for Hornisse. It's one from the first year or so with brass nut, pup cover (for the single big pup) and bridge. The Grover tuners are propeller shaped rather than flat! The thing sounds amazing! I've already told him that if he sells it, I'd like first shot at it.

I'll post pics in a day or so.

+1     served me well for about 10 years (late mid 80's)  after i sold my 2 ampegs - V4/svt...  loved the simple crossover back then although now i would never use it.  usually  went 15 (jbl 145 or 2225H)  with 2 10's  EVs and for  bigger gigs 18 EV or 15  with 4 10's ems. and the same 2 10 for the high 8 ohm load

S.D. Curlee on Ebay for another 17 hours...needs a refin, at least lacquer.

Darn you, Pilgrim!  All my profits are going into basses.  Looking forward to its arrival.

That's funky! How does it sound with all those P-P pickups?

actually sounds pretty good.  I always liked dimarzio p pups. the bridge pup is a little to brittle sounding on its own but adds a nice openness to the neck pup.  sort of a hot rodded j bass sound.
