Pretty cool!  I'm never surprised at what people will do to protect their homes.  The paper here in Houston followed one mans fight to build dike around his property during a large flood - we had about three days of aerial photos of his wall holding back the San Jacinto river only to go under by six inches at the end.

I caught a guy on CNN this morning who had managed to raise his small ranch house up on supports to get it above the flood stage before the water came.  Gotta love the ingenuity of some of these people.
