That color has always been my favorite for the Newport.  Of course, I have only seen pictures.  I'm not sure how good it would look for real.

I've posted this before.  When I got my first bass, the Vox Mark IV, the store I got it at had a total of 2 basses in the whole store.  The Vox was $100.  Next to it was an Inverness Green Embassy for $135.  After 20 some basses and almost a decade, I finally got my Embassy.  I distinctly remembered that green one when I got it.  I never played it, and have never seen another one since then.

It has been probably at least five years, but there was one on gbase just like that one.  It stayed there for a few months, then was sold for more than it was worth, IMO.

Great price so far with 5 days to go.

I have one just like that. Never thought the color was anything special though ...

It ages well though - unlike many blue-ish and red-ish fins that end up as something else. My formerly midnight blue Tonfuchs bass has turned to a shallow sepiaish purple in the last few months (the back is still blue though), no doubt that yellowish Korina working its way through ...

Do I detect a little finicism...? ;)

Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

Finicism is a bad thing, Ken. We must abstain from it at all times.

Hubba hubba? That should only be used in reference to a woman. Likewise hamina hamina hamina.

Are we sure this isn't aged pelham blue? When I look at the back of the headstock and a couple of other views, I'm not sure.

Mine is green, green, green.

No pelham would fade/change that evenly even in places not exposed to daylight.
