My kids were 10 years old before they knew there were any kinds of music except two:

1) Oldies (when riding in the car with me)
2) Country (when riding in the car with my wife)

Then they started spending more time riding in other cars going to softball games and discovered other kinds of music!!

But I saw to it they're REALLY well checked out on rock oldies.

Seems my kids went through stages like that as well. My son discovered the Beatles (elementary school), Middle school it was SOAD & Linkin Park (metal phase) then on to classic rock like the Who & Stones (High School) but has now gone on to Minutemen, punk & Indie rock, like the Shins, Broken Social Scene & Black Keys.

For me as long as its well performed, it's all good. I could never stand listening to the same type of music 24/7

Is called Visual Kei

Visual kei (??????? vijuaru kei?, literally "visual style") is a movement among Japanese musicians,[1][2] that is characterized by the use of make-up, elaborate hair styles and flamboyant costumes, often, but not always, coupled with androgynous aesthetics.[3][4] Some sources state that Visual Kei refers to a music genre, or to a sub-genre of J-rock (a term referring to Japanese rock in general[5][6]), with its own particular sound, related to glam-rock, punk and metal.[7][8][9][10] However other sources state that Visual Kei's unique clothing, make-up, fashions, and participation in the related sub-culture is equally as important as the sound of the music itself in the use of the term.[11][12][13]

Deluhi - great guitarist

Another band I like in the Genre- D'Espairs Ray - amazing band live- I got see them in a tiny bar in Chicago- They were one of the most polished, tightest bands I have seen.

He loves Steel Panther. And then adds kind of sad: "Even though I know they are not serious about it and wear wigs." Growing up is hard!

In the background you see Ze SECOND Kollekshun. All the bass cases Gibson ever built...

He plays guitar. I think Uwe bought that Les Paul for him.

Of course children generally wish to be contrary when it comes to their parents so I would guess Uwe's son plays guitar and probably a Dean Razorback or similar judging by those threads man.

Uwe might buy a Dean Razorback for himself. I would think the kid gets a Gibson if Uwe's buying.

Flying V's are kind of traditional in Deutschland bands, ya...?
