I used to read comics when I was a kid.  Of course I wish I still had those since they would be worth a lot now.  I lost interest around 13 or so when I started getting more interested in music and girls.  I always preferred Marvel.  However, Marvel had to struggle for a while against DC.

Some DC comics were actually not bad, though, especially Batman and the Flash.  But DC has never been able to bring anything to the screen in a meaningful way.  The more recent Batman movies may be a step in the right direction, though.  Now I rarely watch comic book hero movies.  Most of the time I'd prefer a straightforward science fiction movie.

As far as Wonder Woman goes, I'd say the reason there has been a recent flurry of interest is because some people began to realize the pilot was better than expected.  Also, in the final scene, she is wearing the classic Wonder Woman shorts, except this time they've never been shorter and never looked better.  As I indicated in another post, if she had been wearing that costume from the beginning, things might have turned out differently.  As for sexy characters, though, I can think of no one sexier than Diana Rigg as Emma Peel.  Even to this day, she fits my image of the perfect woman.  God only knows how many adolescent males were driven mad by her.

DC always had the lamest villains, not that Marvel hasn't.

I played with a drummer in Ireland who once confessed to me that he had had several dreams that he was one of those Marvel superhero/villains.  He was seriously thinking of going to see a psychiatrist and I told him that might be a good idea.  Eventually, he got married and I think brought down to reality.

Got to meet Lynda Carter while playing a party for the premiere of a movie she did in Cincinnati.

Classy, nice, gracious lady.  Signed a ton of autographs with a broken arm at the time.

I didn't even ask because of the arm.  Now I wish I would have.

Mark's favorite Supervillain - step aside for Codpiece!!!

My favourite Supervillains tend to be The Lizard (for the human tragedy behind it), The Joker (for the anarchy in him), Dr Doom (still the inspiration for Darth Vader I think) and Doc Oc (for the depth the character has).

I'm not much into comic books so I don't know who that is Uwe, gotta say I think the recoil from his "gun" would be quite painful!  ;)

This is not a double entendre, is it? I rigidly object.
