not more than we knew. it seems to be a sg reissue bass with a much thicker body. like a les paul or hamer sunburst bass. forgot to check the specs cos of exitement...

I'd say less. Not the same shape. The Monkey Bass has a longer upper horn and I think both its horns are more rounded.

How long has it been since Gibson has done what you're hoping for? 35 years?

A doublecut Junior style would have been nice, though.

I do like the color/chrome combo on this one. I wish it looked more like the LP JR style, but it looks nice this way too.

Is it the different in the horns you guys doesn't like or are there anything else different from the original Jr?
This one looks like a mix between a LP Jr and the Joan jett guitar (melody maker??). Wonder what's the price..?
