Wow!  Sold for $9000.  I guess a virgin neck really is worth it to some people.  Personally, I'll take a comparable Embassy over the T-Bird any day of the week.

Must not have lasted long.  I didn't check my Tbird favorite search until 10 this morning and it was sold then...not that I'm in the market for another Tbird or anything else.  Right now it's as much fun buying bass parts in bulk, building basses and sending them out.  Yours is #2 in the queue Scott.  Outside chance it may get painted end of next week.  Slight matter of installing your bridge and tailpiece.

Love the added strap lock choices

They cost me just about the same as regular strap buttons, so it was an easy decision.

Seriously...that was a fair price for that Thunderbird IV...But who has that kind of money to spend on a bass?????? I'm a Bass player which = "Poor".

Thankfully I have little interest in IVs.

The piece I though of is the http://www.guitarcenter.com/In-Store-Vintage-VINTAGE-GIBSON-1963-THUNDERBIRD-4STR-BASS-1010-106126143-i1733558.gc
Anyone had time to notice the sum? Just out of pure interest.

3200 USD.  It's about 300 miles from where I am.

...I paid $3500 for my '65 II unbroken w/original pup a few months ago.

godofthunder

Refined , changed pup I wouldn't pay $3,200.................................. but I bet someone will. Now $3,500 for your Bird Carlo?  Your lucky you saw it first!
