hi there,

first topic here so please be nice  ;D I found this pic on TB, with no more infos

Looks like a Embassy Reissue, ugly color and no mudbucker, but still very sweet and (I believe) shortscale.

Anyone knows something about it ?

Merci  ;)

Might be home-made (with some loving attention to detail), but contains enough modern day Epi ingredients (bridge from the Gripp3r reissue, pups from the TB Silverburst Ltd Run, nineties Epi Batwing headstock) to be a coming reissue perhaps. Before the purists swoop down on it: It's nice to see Epi bow to its own rather than Gibson's tradition for once. I'd pick one up.

source of the pic is Musician's friend, so maybe a new model to come, in the spirit of the actual Wilshire ?

you nailed that quick Uwe. nice avatar, i would be interested in one also, cool looking bass but i would prefer a Cherry Mahogany finish.

Nice! I hope they do start selling them. It's not exactly a reissue and they already re-used the name "Embassy" on a low budget bass so I wonder what they would call this. I agree, a cherry/mahogany finish would rule.

I like that swimming pool color! Very hip.

Too much cherry can make you nauseous.  :puke:

Part of old Epi's charm was that they were a bit more adventurous with the colors.

They got it right with the batwing headstock. I am surprised it took them so long to reissue the design, with classic vibe guitars being the rage for the last 15 years!

The Epiphone press site is always very up-to-date. They had the Epiphone Nighthawk on it, like nine months before the official release. For 2011 they only have pics of a stage tuner and a Zakk Wilde model... No new basses (yet).

I like that pic. I may have to try one if it ever sees the light of day.

Looks more like a Newport to me. Short scale that is. Or am I wrong?

I can't stop thinking about that bass, that color is so yummy! As for the lack of mud, its an easy fix! :D
