"The legendary vocalist reportedly is the owner of a 1,500-square-foot model train display, set up in his Beverly Hills home."

And I'll never hear "Hot Legs" quite the same again.

In his younger years he was pretty cool, the loungy Vegas thing kinda turns me off. Still you never really know, I'm sure I could entertain him for awhile and enjoy myself, I do enjoy a good Scotsman  ;)

I s'ppose waking every morning to the eversame question "Do'ya think I'm sexy?" gets tiresome after a while. He probably wears leopard spots pyjamas too.

He probably spends more time putting on make up than I do  ;D

Well, there are those old rumors that he does, too.

Not the old adage about the seamen found in his whale's stomach again, please! I always found him totally ungay, besides he likes soccer. That proves it.

No, not THAT rumor.  I'm referring to the one implicating he and Elton John.

Thank you!

For some reason that is just one of my favorite songs of all time, the bass is certainly no big deal but I love playing it and driving it hard.

I always thought Rod was gay? or Bi. We probably wouldn't get along, except for the model train thing - I guess we could always invite Steve Harris along for a threesome, he likes model trains too.

His model train display is as large as the heated/air conditioned portion of my house.
Why did Salvador Dali cross the road?
Clocks.

Not Beverly but Holmby Hills.  That layout was originally done in the '80s by Golden Saw, studio builder guys who I shared a workshop with.  Part of the layout circled the pool.  Terry from GS told me about going up to see Rod about something and he came out of the poolhouse in a bathrobe with a locomotive in one hand and a can of spray paint in the other.

Rod had them make a sign that said "Seaview Cottage" for the front gate to confuse the tour bus people, since you couldn't see the ocean from there and it certainly wasn't a cottage.

GS also worked on remodeling the Record Plant.  They borrowed my planer to mill the rough paneling they had taken down and it "found" the bullet that Phil Spector had shot at John Lennon.  Bob from GS who had been the engineer there at the time came running into my office and showed it to me.  Since it was lead it really didn't do much damage to the planer.  I think they had the plank framed and gave it back to the Record Plant.

"He has a large model train display" could be an interesting euphemism.

Especially when you hear he had his train in one hand and a can of spray paint in the other...
