Wild oppossums don't live in Europe, just don't ask me why, I'm sure they could if a sizeable enough population could find a territory for itself.

Heidi is a yank btw, she was handraised in the US and belongs to the species of the socalled Virginia-possums. When she (and two other relatives) came to Leipzig she was not only suddenly over there, but also overfed and overweight. Her American keepers had turned her into an obese monster with a tail so fat she could no longer climb with it. Even her protruding eyes are a symptom of her obeseness, fat layers behind her eyes are pushng them out. But she is now on a different diet and losing weight. Whether her cross-sightedness is also fat-related is unclear.

Heidi is of course charming and cute, but when it comes to North American possums my preferences lie elsewhere. Give me Carly over Heidi (both Heidis actually) anytime. Hey, I'd even sing "You've got a friend ..." for her.
