Beauty of a bass.
Did Tom rifle through Abe Lincoln's closet or something?

Cheap Trick is doing that whole Sgt. Peppers/Beatles thing in Las Vegas, the placement of the pups on the bass give a slightly out of phase, wooly tone. Tom's apparrel..........I think he's trying the '60s thing (maybe 1860s)  ;)

Checked out the hotel lobby shows last night--caught a bit of Orianthi, Chad Smith's Meatbats, Wally Reyes Jr. & Friends, an American Indian cat known as Mickey Free, & Hot For Teacher.

All were pretty mediocre but Mickey Free would be good if he'd just Shut Up & Play!

He did a good job of playing some Hendrix songs & he's got some gorgeous axes--a black Flying V hand painted Hendrix Tribute just like Jimi's, a '58 Les Paul Tigerstriped Sunburst, a Billy Bo, etc.

He wore enuf turquoise to sink a canoe! hahaaa

He must have asked "Are you with me?" 27 times. The first few times I said "YEAH!" but after 2 dozen times I was shakin' my head NO. lol

Saw a few familiar faces--but not Chris P.

The couple who run a music store in Fla. & usually get me in ain't here again this year.
That makes 2 years in a row their biz has been slow!! Tough times

Chris P.

I missed you too and I missed Peterson's booth...

You must of been on a short leash Shatzi, if the magazine had given you anytime to visit around the West Coast you'd be applying for citizenship  :)

Really as they say "There's no place like this place"
I love Seattle and Washington State very much - and think once you see it you'll want to stay. Admittedly a very biased opinion.  ;)  I think our Leibe Chris would like it here, cosmoploitan yet the wilderness is quite near, very different from Holland.

One of Mike's fivers.
I recall speaking with him about the pickup for that, there's about 10k worth of R&D there! A good portion went to the guys (same folks in CA. that Gibson used) to develope a new die to stamp the covers.

When your R&D is only twice the price (or less) of your product you're doing really well in my experience.
