A Catholic education will turn you into an Atheist very quickly if taught properly.  Many thanks to the Brothers of the Holy Cross...and why DOES Easter fall on a different date every year? ;D
Because someone deemed that it should be the first Sunday after the full moon following the spring equinox?
There are many in this world that call me Darrol, feel free to be apart of that group.

Yep, it was convenient to replace the pagan Lunar Spring festival which occurs then. The Last Supper was a Passover Seder which is around that time.

Even as a kid in a religious family I was taught that December 25 wasn't the real date of Christ's birth (for the reasons already listed), but the fact that we celebrate it at all (even if it is so commercialized in this day and age) still falls on the plus side for me. I'm OK with giving or getting a Happy Holidays as well.

And I totally stole that Santa peeing off the chimney pic.

As a recovering Catholic, I'm totally down with the pagan stuff. Heh.  ;D

I woke up to snow three hours ago which is now turning to heavy snow.  The last time there was a white Christmas here it was 1963.  But that's nothing compared to Atlanta which is having its first white Christmas since 1882.

so far no white. i love snow but i wish it could hold back until tonight. i have to take my wive to the airboard for a trip to london. 1 inch of snow down hear is more debilitating than 5 feet in the real world.

another fallen catholic here. is there a support group for people who have been traumatized by nuns?

I thought about founding CA: Catholics Anonymous...

If it snows here today it will be the first time Raleigh's had snow on Christmas Day since 1947. Come on, snow!!!

Hey you Suthin' U.S. folks, enjoy the snow if you get it!

Here at 5,000 feet on the front range of Colorado it's clear and dry, not a flake of snow on the ground.  Forecast is 50 degrees today.

Of course, go about 100 miles west into the mountains and they've had 6+ feet of snow in the last week!
