Thanks Pilgrim Al!  I might do a cardboard mock up of a pickguard to see what it might look like.  I'll try the filler first, but later in the week when I have more time.

I don't know whether M-85s came with pickguards, but I'm thinkin' one would look right at home.

I drop filled the holes last night with a mixture of maple dust, tint and nitro.  The center looks good but I ended up with a dark ring around the edges.  I'll sand it a bit in a couple days (got anniversary stuff tonight and tomorrow!).  I'll be back!

And to you!  We're going out for a nice dinner - treated ourselves to a trip to San Antonio to watch WSU get whacked by Notre Dame a week ago - that was our anniversary trip.  But we always enjoy San Antone, so it was good.

Yeah, I like San Antone as well.  A really fun place to visit!  We're going to Niagara Falls tonight, the scene of the original crime!   8)

Nice looking bass!  You guys are really evil, you know.  I unloaded the 8-string, and now I'm watching another M-85 on FleaBay.
