Removing pickup cover on 4001: grounding question
« on: November 07, 2010, 11:40:18 AM »
Just removed the pickup cover on the 4001 and discovered it's plastic! It's a new replacement that came with the new pickup to replace the nearly dead original.

Question is, where does that ground go now that the cover's off? Can I simply run the screw through the pickup ring and spring, grounding it there?

Thanks!

Thanks, got it! Much easier to play with that cover off!

BTW, the pickup covers have been chromed plastic almost since they were introduced.
