What a bargain! And don't waste his time if you don't know guitars like he does.

Psycho Bass Guy

Henry Juszkiewicz read the writing on the wall and is liquidating?!!! ;)  ;D :o
Does it have the onboard bass string digital mute for the B and G strings?

chromium

I'm flabbergasted. The end of western civilisation as we know it is not threatening anymore, we've just left it behind us.
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...

Hey, it is written on the trussrod cover. So it must be true.

That bass needs thicker strings, I bet it sounds like crap now.

That's like 20 minutes from me....I'm tempted to contact him like I want it and go over just to fk with him and ask all sorts of stupid questions in person...like a Spinal Tap segment. Wish I had a tiny hidden camera to bring and post it on YouTube :)

You should start slapping wildly on it! And then complain about narrow string spacing and "a generally unresponsive rebound of the strings". Or bring along your own set of bass strings ("I always use those, never fail!") and commence restringing the instrument ("Let's see if this fits here ...").

On the other hand, it seems it has plenty of space for a bass tremolo, what do you think guys? :P

John's Kahler and Fantastigzmo on it!!!

How big would that body have to be if scaled up and the neck was equivalent to a long scale, or even a shorty...?

Didn't Jack Bruce have a modified SG as a six-string bass...?
The random mind of a Silver Surfer...
If research was easy, it wouldn't need doing...
Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

IIRC Jack had a six string Danelectro bass.

And the guitar LP body needs no upscaling whatsoever for a short scale or even a long scale bass - Gibson doesn't upscale, SG, Flying V, Explorer, Les Paul and EB-2 shapes are all not larger than their guitar cousins.

The short scale Les Paul Basses have larger bodies than the regular Les Paul guitars and the shape is slightly different too.
