Now you've got me curious, Mark. As a lifetime resident of NJ, I had to use the admittedly semi-reliable Wikipedia as a source, and Bellvue as a city looks great - on paper (or monitor). Your uncharacteristically sharp description of Seattle's sister city, however, leads me to be believe that there is trouble in paradise - what's the skinny? Or is this one of those "other side of the lake" things? :)

Bellevue, Wa. is a very affluent suburb of Seattle, across Lake Washington to the east. It's a completely souless place, I know because I lived there for a few years in my younger days. It's home to many very wealthy people, but completely lacks any character other than an upscale mall ( wuhoo! ) and historically stupid drivers, bad traffic and that "Bellevue" snobbish attitude, an utterly detestably example of urban sprawl that could be bulldozed to no ill effect.........

And remember, unless convicted, this woman (almost wrote 'lady", but that would have been an error) can vote!

Probably can also own a gun.

Is there any circumstance (other than psychosis and criminal internment) where an American, on American soil, could not own a gun...? genuine question...

No. There are restrictions, but ownership is a right.

So, I gather that The Nasty Habits don't do many Bellvue gigs?

None to our credit so far............I don't expect that to change anytime. Even Bellevue people leave the city for virtually any form of entertainment beyond a movie or meal..........It's a cultural void.

( I had an image of the Nasty's playing behind a mesh with bottles flying all over the place, a-la-Blues Brothers; it just flashed across my consciousness... )
