I don't know what it is with the SG Bass. When it arrived I thought it an ill conceived baby but it got me hooked nevertheless and now it's my main axe. When I first saw the Supreme in Fireburst I bursted a gut laughing and wondered how much the development guys had to drink when they dreamed it up...... and for some time now I've got latent GAS for this fin ...... Fickleness thy name be Droombolus ?  ;D

Anyway: This baby popped up on eBay Germany and I'm going to bid, so please ........

My feelings exactly. My solemn vow not to collect for fins was broken for the first time when I bought that Tequila Sunrise SG Supreme. No regrets either, that fin looks fabulous in real life.

IMHO that finish just doesn't seem right to me.  eb3's  just need to be in cherry or walnut actually my favorite.  anything else seems like another bad choice Henry made...

I think I am the only one here at the Outpost who actually likes the natural flamed maple top.

That was my other sin ...  I have a satin AND a fireburst one, but strictly speaking they only count as one sin together because at least one of them is a justified acquisition due to the maple top they have in comparison to the all maho RI (now Standard). They sound different too. I lended one of them (the fireburst one) out to a girl bass player with small hands (she's actually a guitarist, but played their bass parts in the studio) and she was over the moon with the sound as was their producer. True chivalry of me then.  8)

I don't like the satin much I'm afraid, but who knows .......  White EB-3's look absolutely smashing, never saw a white SG though .........

If Uwe's up for confessing his "FIN" sins, anymore to reveal...? ;D

Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

The Fireburst always reminds me of Fender's Stratoburst finishes that they used during the early 80's. I remember seeing some of the Elite Basses with these types of finishes.  I could only find a photo of a Strat.
