Oh man - congrats!  I know how much you wanted that one back all these years.

Still trembling from excitement during that first pic?  ;D

Dave, I am amazed by your memory. Yes, I am the "Purple Clown Bass" Mark. (that PCB bass was a dog to play though)

Dave, do you remember the bass I sold to you back before we knew each other? (with a CD stuck in the case)

I'm happy the bass is back with Gary. Everything about this deal felt right. And, uh Gary, if you ever decide to sell it...well, you know, let me know, eh?

How could anyone forget the Purple Clown Bass (even if they wanted to)?

You sold me the Rick 4004 which now belongs to Paul Boyer a/k/a bassduke49 at the Rick Resource Forum.

And of course I still have your CD. The Whopper Beat The Big Mac and other punk classics.

Uwe, the same Mark who bought the pointy Purple Clown Bass for you and even dared to be photographed playing it.

A fearless man, I remember he played it for a Kathrina benefit!

Well, this time I think it's here to stay.  I told my wife I was retrieving our daughter's inheritance.  She's always said that she wanted that bass, even though she doesn't play.  If I kick the bucket, it will be close enough for you to visit, though.

Yes, it is.  AND, Jon Brandt, who replaced Petersson, had it after him.  Jon never knew the lineage of the bass.  Dave Angel from The Boyzz also had it for a while.

Geez man, sounds like that thing belongs in Illinois! I'll PM you my shipping address.

It WAS in Illinois with me for 17 years.  I need to be in Illinois, but that's not going happen in my apparent future, either.   :-[

It's always nice to be in the company of GOOD old friends... ;)

... but I'd love to see what the PCB looks (looked) like... ;D

I Googled "purple clown bass" and found this...

about 2/3 of the way down the page. BTW, that is not me in the Rush t-shirt.

Looks bluer here but it's the same bass:
