By rights, this should be in the possession of a right-/just-handed player with a large collection of Gibson basses. If you know what I mean!  ;D

Lovely specimen.

The bridge mudbucker, does that still sound nicely phat, ja? And with both pups full throttle there is no cancelling out, nein?

Has a VERY punchy and deep sound with bridge p/u only. Unlike any tone I've ever heard.

Now Lefty, I know you've got the name for being a Frizell fan, but is that what you have in mind with those instruments? Folk, country? Let us in the know!

Gonna be original, modern music with Old West/Civil War imagery in the lyrics. To over-simplify; a cross between The Alarm and The Band.

I can actually picture that and will look forward to some samples once you record. Sounds really interesting.

Loved the Alarm ! One of my favorite 80's bands.

All right, Lefty! The Band is my all time favourite (not counting The Beatles, The Stones, Dylan, Dave Clark 5 - oh, I went over board!) band. Helm, Danko, Manuels - singers of a breed that only Gene Clark stands tall amongst in that vein. And The Alarm! You mean them small Englishmen? It will be most interesting to hear what you guys are up to! Look forward to it!

Cool project! Have you ever heard anything by Sixteen Horsepower? A lot of their music reminds me of fighting in a swamp during the Civil War. Awesome stuff and much of it is kinda creepy. May not be what you're looking for though!

Oooooo! What you said, don't say that in Wales or they'll batter you to death with a leek!

Haha, yeah I was thinking that too. Our drummer is Scottish and turns a nice beet-red when he's referred to as "English".

Putting together some demos, will post when completed. Thanks for all the encouragement!

Best I've heard is, "Scotland...? what part of England is that...?" :o

Yeah, I know! I just think it's a nice way to piss people off, without being unpolite, as a foreigner's not absolutely supposed to know what's happening in peoples head on the other side of the border.
It's the same here in northern Sweden. Say "Stockholmare", which is someone from Stockholm, our capitol (in the southern parts), to anyone inbreed, and you're practically insulting the same person. So I know, and understand, the feelings that can arise in the good folks from Wales. And Scotland. And England. Or northern Sweden.
