Other Hawkwind bass players certainly did play Gibson EBs.

Adrian Shaw, played on "Quark, Strangness & Charm" and "PXR5". His predecessor (and Lemmy's replacement) Paul Rudolph used a Precision.

Daniel, what happened to your Grand Funk Tribute?
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Daniel, what happened to your Grand Funk Tribute?

Well, we have always played for the fun of it. The Grand Funk Tribute could quite easily be dusted off but we tend to move around playing what feels good at the moment. Frankly the demand in Sweden when it comes to GFR is'nt that high so when we have other gigs booked such a narrow act tend to be shoved behind the curtain.

The Motörhead Tribute (we named ourselves Kilmister) came up just because we had not seen or heard anyone doing it the way we would like to hear it being Motörhead fans all of us. The gig we did saturday was the last booked gig we had and now it feels like we're moving on to the next project. We'll just record some Motörhead songs as a time document. We have a few ideas what to do and it also feels good to go back to playing the bass again. We've had a few gigs playing the regular coverband this year but most of the rehearsals have been all about the M-head Tribute.

If I can make a recommendation ... After tributing yanks and limeys, couldn't you do something a little more ethnic?

You'll need flatwounds though.
