is this the same bass that was up 6-12 months ago  ?

Yeah, its the same one - I saved pics of it.  In fact, several of those are the same pics from that previous auction.

My concern is they're just selling them over there!!  :-\

Basvarken

Well, it's still on their site for 0,- Czech Crowns. Which means it's not for sale (yet).

But I did find out a Swedish website that has them with this month's news:

http://www.edgaraudio.se

But if you click on the pic you only get a larger pic but no order details...

I sent BaCH another email to ask what's goig on, but no reply as of yet.
Patience is the keyword in this project guys.

So that is the BaCH bird!  That looks pretty nice.  What is the deal on the Swedish site - I am guessing they are going to be offering them for sale soon or eventually, no?  Any idea of the headstock on their own branded bass?  I am hoping to hear the about the first one in-hand soon.  Good luck!
Model One and Schallers?  Ish.

Low End Theorist

Hmm... I wonder if they feel that they've stumbled on to something here?
Well, they're giving us first crack at it... I hope  :-\

Just called Edgaraudio here in Sweden. Talked to a man called Sixten, yeah, that's his name. Not very common nowadays, but when I was a kid, some of my dads pals had the name. And while we're at it, concerning names, one of my late uncles.... Blah, blah, blah... Blah, blah, blah...
No, I can't leave you in limbo, with question marks over the head. Let's go for the whole Sixten conversation:
- I got that picture from the Bach catalogue. I do not have one for sale, and I have not seen it, other then on picture. How many I will get? Well, I do not know, if I will get any in the end. That depends on how many Bach's got in stock. And I do not know what the price will be, in case I get one.
- But I do know one thing. The Bach basses are good. See, I play a little bit of bass myself, and I really enjoy them.
What we must keep in mind here, concerning the review of the Bach basses, is that Sixten is a Swedish dealer for that company. But, also keep in mind that the writer of these words has also got a Bach bass, 51 P-bass style. And I really like it!
So, in alles, I get the impression that the Thunder-Bach still stays is in Czech, waiting for 100 eager hands spread all over the Western World, as we know it. But, as Cilla Black once put it: I've been wrong before!

eb2

Well, I can take or leave Cilla Black, but I am thinking this thing is happening. And the bridge is up with a price now.
Maybe as well-made as the Pzkpfw 38t
Model One and Schallers?  Ish.

Did I say I was patiently waiting for my email invoice?   :bored:

You got me there, for a minute, eb2. I had to Google for Pzkpfw 38 t, before I realized it is the old Panzerkampfvagen 38 t. Well, if it's built in that way, we have to hope that it works for more than marsches! bomp-bomp-bomp-bmp...

I have repeatedly offered in the past that we go there in person (and with heavy armor vehicles) to sort things out. Whether basses or territories with German speaking minorities, the Czechs never hand anything over voluntarily. But apparently they do good work.
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...

I'm with Uwe on this. Damn those Czechs (or whatever they spell that word)!
Don't be stupid, be a smartie - come and join die schwarze Hardware party!
