It takes a very deep-rooted opinion to survive unexpressed

Is there anything under the pickguard on the trans cherry ones that would negate the use of a clear pickguard, such as odd routings or lack of finish etc...? Looking at Scott's picture gave me a really bad idea...

Nope, just routed at the pup cavity.
Mine while I was install the Lull pup.

Today I finally managed to get the informations for payment form Bach and did the wire transfer. Hopefully I will get my TH2 cherry red in one or two weeks. Unfortunately I see that greatdealz has no longer chrome pick up covers...

That stinks, I've been pestering them for weeks without a response. :(

I actually sent a message to greatdealz too but haven't heard back either. I want those covers and for that price, all the other options are so expensive.

I would like to say hello to everyone. I would like to thank Mark (TBird 1958) for recommending this site! I'm hoping to have a BaCHbird soon. The basses I've seen on here look great!

Cheers,
Jim

Welcome here Jim!

I know you'll love your new BaCH as much as we all do!
I'll shamelessly plug Scott's (GodofThunder59) correctly sized pickguard as a nice addition once your new 'Bird lands in the States   ;)

Welcome Jim!  You'll love the BaCHbird. I love my black one from the original run of 50 basses.  Modified it with one of Scott's pickguards as well as vintage style reverse tuners.

Welcome Jim,

I sent you a PM plus email.

Well my new Bachbird is at my doorstep. Just found the advice from post office that they attemtped to deliver when I was not at home but I had an unexpected trip past week. I was struck in Warsaw by the Iceland vulcano ash and was forced to take a train to Vienna and then to Milan and while travelling in Czech Republic I crossed the town of Hodonin where our beloved Bachbirds come from. I had never thought that one day I had crossed that station! I went there even before to get my bass at home

Am I the first of this forum been there?

And here the the new, beatiful baby from Czech. Many thanks to Bach for such a beauty:
