Here's a couple quick shots of mine. It's really dark here today. I'll take better pics when the light is better. I love the bass. There are a couple of minor finish imperfections, like a small chip in the finish on the side/corner of the fretboard. And the nut is a hair off center. But it sounds and plays and looks great. I'm really glad I bought it and will more than likely buy a blue one at some point. Thanks again Rob. The whole process couldn't have been easier.

Nice! Looks classic too! Are you the only honeyburst owner here so far?
Why did Salvador Dali cross the road?

I don't know Denis. I am wondering that myself. I figured it would be the more popular of the two choices but so far seem to be wrong. I'm sure that the TH-2 only being available in red has something to do with this.

Agreed, I'll own at least one Honeyburst TH-2 if they make them.

Seems your bass looks to be the one Rob posted pics of, so I bet you do have the first Honeyburst TH-1 here!

I'm off today and have been playing it all day. The pick tone from this thing is absolutely incredible. I really haven't played much with a pick in years but am definitely going to now. It's so good.

OldManC

If they're still available later in the year I'll try for a honeyburst TH-1. I think they're beautiful.

Hey, it looks like they fixed the positions of the knobs and jack hole.

Concerning the inside of the Bachbird: A friend of mine looked at the components inside, and just said "Crap"! Now, that's possible. I don't know. But I know some of you guys knows what to change to, if "crap's" the case. Right? Tell me, as Nick Jagger (as the Englishman was namned on Otis's version of Satisfaction) once said.

My Bluebird has crap-quality electrics, I will change them for sure.
The pickup is good, don't make the mistake to change it without hear it with some good quality pots,jack/cap.

What are the specifics I should look for concerning pots and jack?

Well, sort of.

4 out of 5 had the pots and jack in the right place.
The one that Scott got, had them wrong.

And yes, the pots are crap. I can highly recommend replacing them with CTS pots.
Plus, if you are going to replace them consider a push/pull pot. The Artecs can easily be wired as single coil/humbucker.
Gives you even more possiblities soundwise. Just pull the pot and you get a single coil. Push it back in and it's a humbucker.

Rob, does an Alpha push-pull pot fit in the cavity or is it too shallow for that?

I think it should fit.
In my BaCHbird (thick on from the first series) there is more than 5 mm space left.
