That burst is really nice, and the cherry looks very Gibson-like.

Here's a little video I shot just 15 minutes ago. The iSight camera of my iMac isn't the highest quality and the picture is kinda dark but it'll do for now.

Bass plugged straight into the desk. No eq.

1. both pick ups full on. tone full on

2. neck pickup only. tone full on

3. bridge pickup only. tone full on

4. neck pickup full on, bridge pickup open. Tone rolled off.

EDIT: new video.

Wish i had the money!,.

Nitro Pelham blue would be awsome, I would have to bring it to a tanning salon to get it to that nice faded green.

Freuds_Cat

The tones are great but that neck looks absolutely beautiful.

Did I mention it is light?
It only weighs 3.8 kG.

That is a huge difference with the first series.

Did they go back to a thick body? That sunburst looks like it.

Good Eye!

I got my TH-2 Thursday. (Sorry Rob, I had asked Roman a long time ago for a red bird.)

My initial reaction was that it was a bit heavy.

Comparing the TH-1 and TH-2 side-by-side I see the TH-2 is thicker in the body and is lacking the tummy cut, and  is quite noticably heavier.  The good news is that the neck profile is the same (as far as I can tell), and it sounds great.

I noticed on the Bach web site they now have blue, black, and white TH-1s in stock, I wonder if they still have the tummy cut and thinner body, or is the current batch all the same.

Basvarken

The first series had a very thick body. 44 mm!  :o
The second series had a much thinner body. 36 mm.

The new series is 37 mm thick. In comparison to the first series this one feels light to me.
I have no idea why they didn't make a tummy cut. I guess they just forgot?

Agree! That part, being non-rational, is really charming. If I had the money right now, I'd go for one these red devils. Really beautiful.
Simply a fantastic work by the Czech, and our Dutch brother. I bow my head.

The wood looks like Sipo to me. Both body and neck. (so no veneer, no maple)

That's cool.  I was just about to ask what the thoughts were about the body construction on the transparent ones, as I didn't see the laminates like they used in the last batch...

I still can't put this bass down.  I was trying to force myself to bring something different to a gig tonight, but why fight it!

Has it been 3-8 days yet?
