palm guitars is a nice (and little) shop if you like more exotic and etnical instruments. It is near Waterlooplein. I bought my (long sold) ashbory over there.

Back home in Tel Aviv... after having lost a bag with our passports (all five of them), airline tickets, credit card, drivers license, some cash and my wife's cell phone just 6 hours before the flight... but we made it to our scheduled flight. Luckily I still had my cell phone and laptop, and the Consulate in Den Haag was extremely helpful. We had the whole thing sorted out in like two hours... don't you just love the information age? We had everything insured so no harm was done, except maybe a few errands to run next week...

Bert, I didn't know about that store, they seem to have many interesting basses. Could have been a good opportunity to try out a 30's aluminum body upright, they have two in stock. Oh well, next time.

Hmm, not so nice ending of your Holiday. Did you see any windmills? I live close by the Zaanse Schans which is probably the most touristic windmill place in Holland. I enjoy riding my bicycle as fast as posible there to scare Japanese tourists. ;-) And When I'm in my velomobile their mouth's open wide from amazement. Quite funny to see. :)

Glad to see someone has a son with hair as long as my sons!
Yeah!
My son Nicholas-

Got him his first bass for Christmas a couple years ago
(so he'd quit tuning mine down to "L" or whatever...)-

Here he is discussing hair care products with my brother in law, Cliff
(retired Navy) ;)-

Too bad about the ending to your trip, nice that you were able to get it all sorted out. Still, what a pain.

Now that IS a bummer... at least it wasn't too grief-loaded...

Jeez... that's even longer than mine used to be... ;D

I think Little Nicky has won the hair length contest here hands down!

Tuning down to L -      Didn't Warwick bring out some four string bass with a low F# as the thickest, a low B as the second,  an E as the third and an A as the "thinnest" string?

Yes, we went to the Zaanse Schans and Marken, skipped Volendam, and really liked Broek in Waterland - what a beautiful place.

You have a velomobile? wow. Got pics?

And Coffeeshops, red light district? ;-)

This is my velomobiel:

It is an Alleweder. Probably one of the oldest velomobile's made in (relative) mass production.

No. A friend of mine always tells me it is related to this one:

I read this too late, otherwise we could have met...

De Plug sure is nice! They had a bass/guitar doubleneck copy once, which I didn't bought:(

What's with the azure Ricky, Berth? Something for your collection?
