We're here on a family vacation, myself, my better half, and our three kids. What a great place! The people are so welcoming, the city is beautiful, food is great... the Dutch version of Pancake is so brilliant. We rented a nice apartment in the Jordaan neighborhood and are really enjoying ourself.

In the pic that's me with my eldest son (with his new Strat bag) in front of De Plug - the coolest little guitar shop. Some nice vintage stuff, many Egmonds (naturally), and they share my attraction to late 60's Yamaha basses... I was considering a mid-60's Gretsch Clipper but haven't made up my mind yet. Anyway in the shop window you can notice an Azureglo 4001 - always a nice sight.

Cool store.

I bought my beloved 1969 Les Paul Bass at De Plug. (It was gathering dust between the brooms in a closet)

Nice photo!  Glad to see someone has a son with hair as long as my sons!

Oh, I noticed!  ;D

Have a good time!

Excellent.

If you can only buy one, skip the Gretsch and buy the Azureglo.

Amsterdam is a very charming place. Even its unfortunate location in those surroundings called The Netherlands can't change that ... (ducking ...).

Anymore European stop-bys lined up, Ilan?

At one point we thought about going to Bruges, Belgium to sample some fine chocolates, but we're too lazy to make the trip.

A sign of a perfect vacation, IMO.  Have fun!

That was about a year ago. Since then his natural blond hair has grown about twice as long, changed color several times and is currently dark with light-blond streaks. He's perfected that Manga look ... Maybe I can sneak off a new pic from him tonight.

I just noticed last night: My son IS Victoria Beckham.  :o

I came from a smokers' home and subsequently never smoked. Unfortunately, it works the other way around too:  :-\

And his bandmates have perfected the "I look like a rock aristocracy celebrity" too, "Slash" and "Vickie"   :
