BP should have done this from the beginning.  Well, at least it's a start.  It will be interesting to see if a night of long knives comes out of this.  I'm not holding my breath, though.  We'll see if their manager of operations has any better manner of dealing with this.

It will be interesting to see the full report and to hear, first hand, about the safety failings, and more importantly, who decided to wear the blinkers... that's the people who deserve the sharpened knives... Ultimately it stops at the top, but there are teirs of people with oil on their hands...

He was just the guy in the chair when the ball dropped...there's plenty of responsibility to spread around.  He's probably just as happy to be out of the line of fire.  He was screwed anyway...so why continue to take a beating in public?
