I go to quite a few gigs... but

the other night I had the pleasure to see (and play on the same bill as) the Blockheads.

I was utterly stunned at how good they were. Norman Watt Roy was phenominal, but they all were. I stood in the pouring rain, drenched to the skin, dancing like a madman

Best performance i've seen in decades.

if you get a chance don't miss them...

Are they The Blockheads of "Ian Drury and the Blockheads" fame?
Why did Salvador Dali cross the road?

No, silly - it's THESE guys.

Yeah, same band... but obviously with a different singer. He sounds quite similar to Ian Dury though. Even though Dury was fantastic, I think the band sound as good, maybe better, than they ever did.

Tight as anything

They were always incredibly tight. Well weathered and schooled from those zillions of pub gigs.

Don't forget Kilburn and the Highroads, which was the band before he cut through to the big-time...
