Watching TV is dangerous to your credit card

SO I was watching TV Thursday night and caught the end of a GC ad...with some kind of digital handheld recorder on sale under $100.

Last night I managed to dig around long enough to find it - which wasn't easy.  It's the Yamaha Pocketrak CX...and it's on sale at $79. That's what I thought I heard......

Then I had a little brainstorm and did a quick Google search for "guitar center discount codes" and found a promising one, "save10p" for 10% off.

I tried using the code online, but although the interface showed it, it wasn't accepting it - but it also showed a phone number to call.  So I called - and they said they'd accept it!  That paid for the shipping.

I know this isn't the fanciest recorder around, but the price is very right and the reviews are decent.  I think it will be good to mount on a mike stand in the middle of our practice room and record with.  If any of you need one, GC should honor the discount code through the end of May.
