Yep, that's it! I mailed him once to give some kind words about his book (which is also on the website). He didn't reply, but when I met him weeks later, he immediately started about my kind mail.

This book is great. A pity it isn't translated in English (yet?).

Yes, just think how many relic fans could achieve similar results by tossing their solid-body instruments into a creek and leaving them for a week or so!

Might be a bit hard on the necks, though.   :P

I can't rule out the possibility that this body came from a Katrina bass. I had it shipped from the US and it has what looks like water damage.

I wonder if Fender might consider CS genuine Katrina reliced basses as an option?  ;D
