Handyman props his ladder against a branch he's sawing off, falls and breaks his foot and then sues his employer, who is also fined £2,000. It's always Somebody Else's Fault.  :-\

I think it was mainly the tree's fault.

And the ladder manufacturer's. I bet their ladder manual didn't have a crossed-out drawing of a man sawing off a branch of a tree with the ladder leaning against it. Or perhaps only a very small one.
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...

Not mine. It does in fact credibly explain why the Brits had such a strikingly successful technology in the last decades and were so quick to plant the Union Jack on the moon. Or maybe they took the wrong p.o.ws, Herr Doktor Wernher von Braun would have most likely steadfastly refused to build anything involving Lucas Electronics ...

Ahhhhhhhhhh Lucas electronics. Brings back fond memories of my '68 Triumph Spitfire  :rolleyes:
