The soapbar look TB Plus pups first appeared 1986/87 on the market with the IV/V basses and later in 1987 with the then newly reissued Thunderbird. (I've even seen a Victory Artist  prototype with TB Plus pups that was before that.) The TCT Bart electronics were only introduced in 1993, quite a bit later. I'm not saying that Bart had nothing to do with the design of these pups, but that their use together with the TCT active circuit in LPB-1s (which were initially passive) and LPB-3s (in the chrome, guitarsize himbucker form) are not conclusive evidence they actually stem from Bartolini.

Still my favourite bass pup though!

I talked with Bruce at the HOG today. he says these are a go with Gibson, should have pricing and more details next week. They will be built with parts on hand to keep costs under control. I can't wait to see what they produce. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I like that. I wonder if they have any chrome parts on hand. This will be interesting.

I am picturing a three point bridge, or a Schaller P-bass type bridge with leftover Nikki Sixx fingerboards.
Model One and Schallers?  Ish.

If that happens, I am picturing a group of NR fanatics marching toward Nashville with pitchforks.
