I never did, because it seems nothing more than a way to kill time when your boss isn't looking...

and i'm always short of time

But, i've decided to set one up for my guitar websites....

I'm not 100% sure i'm doing it right, but if anyone wants to be my friend....

I have a facebook page mostly because I have a lot of mates in different countries. I check it once a day and this way I  get to stay in close contact with people I value.

I'm not online very much anymore, but I'll definitely check out that FB page.

I have a HUGE family and have found Facebook to be a great way to keep track of everyone (let alone everyone I ever knew in Jr. High and High School  ;)). Seeing as I'm on there a lot anyway, groups like yours (Jules) are great to check out as well. I'm a fan and sent invites to all my musician friends on Facebook.

BTW, if anyone wants to friend me on there that's cool, though I tend sometimes to post political thoughts and links when something interests me. If that isn't your thing I may come across to you as an annoying Facebook presence.

BTW, a few of my friends are fans now. You have a great site, Jules. It should be publiciz(s)ed!

I tried but never found it interesting or useful, so after about a month I disabled my account. Never got into Twitter either.

I'm on Facebook.  It's been a way to find old friends, and keep up with people.

I joined the Fly Guitars group! I actually use facebook quite a bit, to keep in touch with people, to spread the word about stuff I'm doing, etc. I think my favorite part is that it makes sharing pictures pretty easy. I also have a page for my musical activities - feel free to join!

One thing I really do like about facebook is the band event thing. I don't run my bands facebook page, but i'm slowly becoming familiar with it. I like the fact that you can announce your gig, and all your friends can say whether they are going. It is a good indicator of audience size, and a really good way to publicise the event.

If you are in a band, this is definately worth doing - I think it has had a positive effect on our audience numbers.

Thanks for all the friend/fan things... will be reciprocating whereever possible
