Just remember if it is like my 76 the marker dots will not be where the fretting note on a fretless is, but where they would be on a fretted bass. It drove me mad on mine and I had a "second set of dots" added! Other than that, feel free!

There's a guy in town who has one of these...it is an awesome sounding fretless...right up there with Chris Brubeck's RIC--course, he's a great player, too...might be in the hands.

(hesitantly) Will you carve it like the others, Master?

No such fate awaits this bass, after all you can reach the upper register  ;D Have I mentioned how much I love my Grabber ? We are doing two KISS songs so now I have to drag a bass tuned 1/2 step down The Grabber was the logical choice, man does it kick a** ! Still getting use to that HUGE body.

I took a chance on this thing only one picture  as long as the truss rod is good everything should be a-ok.

Nothing is what it seems but everthing is exactly what it is.

Scott is getting toothless. Age can be a cruel thing.

"No, I'm not playing bum notes on the bass, YOUR guitar is just out of tune!"

I'm sorry, I generally try to banish images of you - of all people - playing products of that other, lesser Californian brand from my virgin mind.

All those good-for-nothing varitone sound options on a fretted Ripper actually make sense on a frettless one. Those middish, scooped, out-of-phasish neo-Jaco sounds. And of course you can always switch to making it sound warm and phat again.

Wow! I am really envying you guys for that Grabbers! I was not lucky in getting one of the two bodies that were on ebay past two weeks and progress in my attempt to build a Grabber. Now I have neck, sliding plate and pickguard and trying to get the tuners
