Out making the rounds today and found this fun little project. The pickups are open but the rest of the bass is in great shape ! Missing a tuner, I found a replacement at the HOG strung it up and it plays beautifully ! Really cool lots of binding, block inlay and very worn gold hardware. The body is chambered ! Really resonant. I may send the pickups out to be rewound or just look for some standard size humbuckers to toss in it. Pics soon !

Not sure on the bridge, might be I'll have to do some research. Anyone got pups for this thing ?

Those look like original cheapo Japanese pickup covers....might be good to put better pickups in there.

I have a similar one in pieces around here.  I popped open one of the pickup casings to see what was under the hood and found that it was a single coil.  I'd just replace them if I were you.

The more I think about it I may just put it up on ebay I need $ not another project. Not sure yet

Dare I suggest some of the Mark II John Birch Magnum's that float around on Ebay?  ;)     ;D

Are they standard size geetard humbuckers?

I still have the pickups I took from the Pearl Export bass. They would fit.

Now how much were you thinking of selling the bass for Scott?  8)
