Good vibes & prayers for my sister

As some of you know my older sister has a uncommon form of blood cancer and is currently being treated.

She is going through the toughest part of her stem cell replacement right now and is not doing very well (as expected).

This is the most difficult time for her as she is so weak and her immune system is non existent right now. She has to be isolated and cannot have any raw food. She can't be exposed to any bacteria or germs.

It's a tough time for us.

My daughter has a friend who's father has a similar blood cancer and she found out yesterday he passed away during his treatment. The father was younger than me. My daughter told us that the girl was just telling everyone the other day about how her dad was doing better and was coming home soon. Life can really suck sometimes.

Scary stuff. Positive thoughts and prayers to all from one who's been there. It seems like every day I hear of another person's struggle with cancer, and it reminds me of how lucky I was... but it is a sobering and humbling reminder as well.
I really, really hope she wins this one.

My sister had Multiple Myeloma and lived over 8 years longer than the average lifespan for that particular cancer at the time. This was almost ten years ago now, and the advances they continue to make in cancer treatment and research are amazing. Here's hoping that your sister will benefit from those advances.
