thanks Gonzo, I've been picturing  myself doing something like that ever since this began.   
I live about halfway between Washington & Baltimore.  I'm tired of shovelling.  here's some pics we took...

I haven't seen snow that deep since the Halloween 1991 blizzard in Minnesota.

I saw a comment from the creator that said it was some sort of bamboo tree. That was what I focused on when I saw it as well. Cool video, but those snow shots above are insane! I thought I'd seen a lot of snow in Utah, but my sidewalks have never looked like THAT! And my back is very glad for that fact.

if you can believe it, they're calling for more early next week.  predicitions are for 3-12".

No matter where you live, that's enough snow to stop a lot of moving about.

Maybe in AK where they're used to six feet of snow a year - but even here in Colorado that much snow would definitely bring things to a halt.

yeah, Kenny, we did alot of digging.  took us 12 hours to clear everything the first time, working on and off through out the day.  we were able to shovel the second one out as it was still snowing so it took almost as long but was easier digging.  I've had enough shovelling snow for this year.
