That's got a familiar ( and beautiful) look to it!

Resident T Bird playing Drag Queen www.thenastyhabits.com  "Impülsivê", the new lush fragrance as worn by the unbelievable Fräulein Rômmélle! Traces of black patent leather, Panzer grease, mahogany and model train oil mingle and combust to one sheer sensation ...

That is very cool! I love multi-coursed basses and I can't wait to see the finished project. Phelham blue rocks!

NICE SCOTT!!!! NICE!!!!! glad that Tailpiece I made at work will go to good use. I decided to go with the hamer however, I realized that I either need to make a space for the tailpiece of make another one. One thing...Because the amount of wood at the heel of the neck is about 1/4", the fingerboard will be higher, like an RD bass. Like Mine. A thunderbird  has the finger board laying right above the body so the strings are closer to the body. The strings on an RD are higher as is my korina 8 string, which..I will show in a week or so  after I get it set up. Just received my Black NR pickguard from Scott today. Nice job, Scott!!! And Nice job on the 8!!!!!

No major progress yet just laying out parts, measure measure measure ! Over the weekend I am going to route the pickup cavity and maybe redo the radius on the body. Right now the radius is 1/4" I am thinking of taking it up to 3/8". My '69 has hardly any radius at all while other NRs have something close to 3/8. The bass is now on my work bench, a good sign ! It now has my full attention. ;) Pickup cover off to Seymour Duncan and I am ordering a fingerboard today :) This is the color I am thinking of going with  ;D
