Gibson policy

A nice one again. Nice for our love/hate relationship with Gibson;) I believe I haven't told this one. If i did: Oops.

Two weeks ago I tried to call Gibson for a Epi T-Bird Pro. I wanted one for a review bass. All marketing people are fired, so I just called Gibson Europe in The Netherlands.

I asked the guy on the phone for a review bass. He didn't want to send me one, because that was 'too expensive'. I explained him that 20 dollars shipping costs in exchange for a review of two pages isn't expensive at all.
I offered to collect the bass myself, cos it's only an hour drive. That wasn't possible either. If I could call back after six months....

My answer was that I hope that Gibso still excists in six months.

My colleague of a sister magazine wanted to review an SG Zoot Suit. Same answer...

Chris Z. Heimer. That Doug Stryker identity crisis left serious damage. Not to mention those liberal Dutch dope laws ...

Man, I'm very hard catching up a zillion stories here:D That in combination with my red wine drinking habits is killing:D

But I'm catching up! So I try not to start topics which are already done weeks ago.

Breaking! John Entwistle died! Ow, that was already in 2002. Just a moment. I think I see a squirrel.

Man, Just a moment. I think I see a squirrel.

That is not something I would keep in my sac anymore.

With me it is still sometimes "Oooo shiney!" and good thoughts prevail.
