Oh my, that is tempting!  I'd love to do a short scale (32") LP with a body like that!

i agree. thats why i set this to a 32" scale but i haven't done any more (still in the case needing a builder!!!), might consider selling it though as the Lacewood and Mahogany do go together well in this body. thought that would be a nice scale.

I've got a neck for it, if you want to go for it.  I've decided to scrap my original project idea.  I can use the money, besides.

What shape is the neck in?

Brand new.  Unfinished NOS stock that greatdealz puts up on Ebay.  Never used it.

Are you saying that neck is short scale Gary??
If I'm not mistaken that's the neck presented as a Triumph neck, but in fact is a Ripper neck. Which would be 34" scale

yeah they are but, if you buy a 34" slotted fingerboard from this guy:

http://www.allenguitar.com/fretbd_pre-slot.htm

then you can cut off the first fret, have a 32.092 scale, cut extra frets in the big (body) end and have it long enough to cover a 34" neck with a 32" scale and have a 24 fret board. then you can set the neck deeper into the body (towards the bridge like i did on the SG pictured) and have a 32" 24 fret neck on a 34" neck blank and still get the head closer to the body to help with nose diving.

I've actually not measured the neck.  It's probably what you say it is, though.

I have 2 of those greatdealz necks, they are made for 34" scale.  If I should jump on this body, I'd just use one of those.

My side of the Atlantic, too... no parts that I'd need to get to go with her... I'm watching, but I'll happily defer to you, Bill... (painfully... just being honest with myself - to few instruments and need to work on those that I have...)

If this is a Gibson body, it appears to the Non chambered three point bridge version, which means it could be a 10 pound+ body.
